According to legend, the Crusaders brought this rose type to Europe from Damascus in the 13th century. Known as Wared Jouri in Arabic, this rose is a symbol of beauty and love, and blooms only twice a year. The process of distillation, said to be invented by the Persians, has been used since 3000 B.C. firstly to produce perfumes. Kanz Rose Syrup is a sweet floral cordial made from natural rose petals, infused using traditional methods to create this refreshing and tasty syrup. Made only from rose petals, water, and sugar, this natural syrup contains no artificial coloring. It is only colored with 100% natural prune juice. Dilute it in chilled water and ice for a refreshing drink, or use it as a topping on pancakes, ice cream, and cakes.
Artisanally made by women in Kaa El Rim, Lebanon.
Good to know:
100% of Kanz's benefits are redirected to its mother organisation Beit El Baraka, an NGO working on food-security in Beirut and all over Lebanon — supporting the Beit El Baraka's vision of becoming a self-sustaining NGO.
